It takes three to tango in Quentin Jones of Cadence’s new fashion film for Parisian accessories house Roger Vivier!
The brilliant Jones brings her signature mixed media film technique to designer Bruno Frisoni’s new Spring Summer 17 collection for Roger Vivier, aptly titled “Urban Nomadic.” Starring Argentinian It Girl/fashion consultant/street style star Sofía Sanchez de Betak, the film takes us on a trippy ride through the collection and has us jonesing for jewel encrusted slides and the new “Viv’ Tango” carryall. It’s also convincing us that Blair Waldorf was onto something with all those colored tights. (And if you don’t believe us… the ladies of Who What Wear are in agreement that colored tights are back.)
Jones’s blend of animation, stop motion photography and cutouts, brings to life the collection’s new accessories, including the Rose n’ Roll, the Podium, the Mule Trompette, the Slidy Viv’ and Roger Vivier’s signature jewel encrusted pilgrim buckle in their Evening collection. Naturally, these gorgeous shoes and handbags were highlighted by de Betak’s suave tango moves.
De Betak not only lends her gorgeous gams to the film, she stars in the season’s print campaign, also shot by Jones, and collaborated with Frisoni on the “Viv’ Tango” carryall. De Betak drew inspiration from her Argentinian heritage and love of tango for the handbag, a flaming red tote with laser etched Guipure lace details, red rose cutouts and gold studs that resemble bee pollen. Jones’s eye for graphic visual design, strong art direction and syncopated visual effects was the perfect match for Frisoni and de Betak’s wanderlust and Parisian elegance!
