Pet Gorilla Wins at AICP
ICONIC & REBELLIOUS is what Chuck D likes about Vans and we have to agree. We’ve been wearing Vans since high school, and most likely so have you. This groundbreaking shoe that founded a timelessly cool brand just celebrated a rad 50 years of cultural impact last March. To commemorate this, the brand called on Pet Gorilla to create a one of a kind film, employing an incredible display of creativity and craft using a never been done before process fitting of the brand itself.
An original, artful shoe + an original, iconic brand + an original work of art + an original creative process = Vans “Journey.” And now that original will be included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
To date, Vans “Journey” has won many awards this season including two One Show pencils, and a D&AD award. However, this one is special. We are beyond thrilled about our AICP win in the design craft category. Being singled out by our peers is just amazing. THANK YOU.
