Debate This: Adweek Ad of the Day

Kevin Durant has been the subject of much debate in the sports world…until he brought home his first championship ring last week. So…Is this just another brand congratulating it’s winning endorsee? Unequivocally, no.  Nobody quite embodies “Just do it” like Kevin Durant.  Nike’s congratulatory piece packs a hard punch…it highlights all the naysayers, the can’t-doers, and the mud-slingers and shows them all whose boss. Family Member Barking Owl Music and Sound took on getting inside KD’s head: their sound design, music sweetening make you feel what KD felt…what it’s like to be doubted; to be called weak; to be called a traitor.  We feel those loud #hater voices, in our heads…and then…. KD got a Ring. The voices are silenced…highlighted by Barking Owl’s mix …a beautiful, echoing, stunned silence.
You are there in that moment when it all came together for Durant….the hard work and perseverance and determination paid off. He just did it. And he won.
